Celtic Knotwork Copper Jewellery with Magnets Inspired by the Book of Kells
This wide magnet bracelet takes its name from the Book of Kells, the illuminated Gospel manuscript created by Irish monks around 800 AD. The book was probably begun on the island of Iona and completed at the monastery of Kells in County Meath. Today it is on display at Trinity College Dublin. Its pages are filled with intricate interlaced knotwork, and the braided pattern on this cuff is inspired by that tradition. Celtic knots like these, with no beginning and no end, are traditionally associated with continuity and eternity.
